I am passionate about interiors, I live, breathe, touch and feel interiors everyday of my life. Whether its walking into a restaurant, relaxing at a friends house, reading a magazine or watching TV, I am continually thinking about interiors from how they look to the reaction they might create.
From a young age, I was constantly rearranging the wendy house my dad built for me in the garden. I created a little home for myself that I would play in for hours on end. Now I have my own home, I continue to do the same, creating new ideas from various daily experiences and adventures that I have along the way.
After obtaining a BSc Hons degree in International Hospitality Management from Oxford Brookes University, I decided to hit the big smoke of London and started my career at Chelsea Football Club, after a 4 year stint there, I moved on to work as Nick Candy’s Executive Assistant at the property development & interior design company Candy & Candy.
After gaining invaluable experience in the international design world, I thought I would return to my roots and head back to the west country where I grew up and set up my teashop and home interiors business, Living Pretty. I am very fortunate to be able to combine my two loves in life, food and interiors!
Being on the property ladder for a number of years, I have restored and renovated a few properties which have been photographed and published in national magazines showcasing my rustic country style. My main inspiration comes from the countryside where I grew up and I love to make the ordinary extraordinary and create a talking point in each room. I hope to inspire others and show through simple design choices that any house can be turned into a home.
